Chris Aronoff is an award-winning director of several documentaries and feature films, and producer of over 17 feature films with cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Matthew Modine, Corbin Bernsen, Kristin Chenoweth, Lacey Chabert, Joey King, Bailee Madison, Nathan Gamble, and many more. After stints with Paramount Studios and Spelling Entertainment, Chris started his own production company, Home Theater Films.
While overseeing all aspects of the filmmaking process, Chris specializes in implementing cinematic story elements in production, maximizing the international sales potential. This has led to Netflix, Sony, Paramount, Capitol/Universal and other domestic and international companies distributing his films into 130 countries.
Chris started as an entrepreneur at an early age. Right after film school (University of Oregon) he co-founded the innovative medical tech company Wired.md. He then co-founded the production company Home Theater Films, and post-production & VFX companies White Box and Mechnology. Chris has produced an array of dramatic feature films including “25 Hill” about the Soap Box Derby in Ohio, holiday movie “3 Day Christmas,” “Rust,” and romantic comedies “In-Lawfully Yours,” “Christian Mingle” and “Family Weekend.”
He recently directed and edited the award-winning feature film “Mary 4 Mayor,” which was officially selected for the Heartland Film Festival and won Best Comedy at the ICVM Awards. Chris’s wide range of skills results in him working wonders with a range of filmmaking and commercial video campaigns. He was a co-director and editor on “SkyGrazers: A Story of the Flying Farmers,” which won multiple awards, was officially selected for several film festivals, theatrically premiered in Canada, and sold to several TV networks. Over the past several years, he has been putting to use his skills and knowledge as an instrument-rated licensed private pilot, creating award-winning aviation documentaries and commercial video campaigns for aircraft manufacturers, airports, and pilot academies around the world.
Chris has played competitive soccer for 40+ years and is currently a team member of Penmar Venice in the Los Angeles Premier Men’s Soccer League.
